In this role, you will be a member of Supply Chain Management's (SCM) F-35 Mission Systems Team as a Subcontract Management Senior. You will support Development, Production, and Sustainment contracts related to F-35 requirements. Your responsibilities will include leading activities such as preparing requests for proposals, evaluating subcontractor proposals related to production and/or sustainment, assisting in developing cost/price analysis, negotiations, purchase order and contract creation/documentation, and purchase order maintenance. You will also manage contractual delivery schedules to align with program demands, conduct cost analysis support, and understand procurement activity under the guidance of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS). Additionally, you will assist less experienced buyers in their daily activities and communicate across multi-functions and multi-level platforms. Potential travel might be required for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Lead activities related to preparing requests for proposals.
  • Evaluate subcontractor proposals related to production and/or sustainment.
  • Assist in developing cost/price analysis and negotiations.
  • Create and document purchase orders and contracts.
  • Maintain purchase orders and manage contractual delivery schedules.
  • Conduct cost analysis support and understand procurement activity under FARs and DFARS.
  • Assist less experienced buyers in their daily activities.
  • Communicate across multi-functions and multi-level platforms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Subcontract Management, or as a Buyer.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally, building consensus, and shaping/influencing opinion.

Nice-to-haves

  • 6 years of professional experience; or 4 years of professional experience with a related Master's degree.
  • Experience with Systems, Applications and Processes (SAP) or similar.
  • Experience TINA compliant (Truth in Negotiations Act).
  • Experience working collaboratively in an environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience making business-based decisions.
  • Familiarity with Government Procurement processes and regulations.
