About the position

The Amazon Grocery Logistics team is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead strategic and cross-functional business initiatives that will drive the growth of our Grocery business, which includes Fresh, Amazon Go, and Whole Foods. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your analytical, technical, program management, strategic, and operations management skills to design, plan, and launch the future supply distribution network for Amazon Grocery. Your expertise will be crucial in shaping the operational framework that supports our ambitious growth targets in the grocery sector. As a Supply Chain Manager, you will collaborate closely with partners across Retail, Finance, and Operations to define the supply chain, network design, and operating models that will underpin our grocery operations. You will be responsible for developing long-term capacity plans for our distribution center network, ensuring that these plans align with Amazon's broader financial and strategic objectives. Your ability to build complex models will be essential in determining future topology and capacity needs for our network, and you will communicate this vision effectively to partner teams and senior leadership to facilitate informed Real Estate and Capex decisions. In addition to strategic planning, you will form and lead cross-functional project teams, managing and executing complex projects that span multiple organizations and stakeholders. This includes developing new distribution capabilities that will enable the growth of our network. You will also be tasked with defining tech requirements to ensure that our fulfillment network can scale effectively to meet future challenges and growth opportunities. Your role will be integral to the success of Amazon Fresh as we strive to revolutionize the grocery shopping experience and deliver unparalleled service to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Retail, Finance, and Operations partners to define supply chain, network design, and operating models.
  • Own and develop long-term capacity plans for the distribution center network to support Amazon's Grocery business.
  • Build complex models to determine future topology and capacity needs for the network, communicating this vision to partner teams and senior leadership.
  • Form cross-functional project teams, planning, managing, and executing complex projects across multiple organizations and stakeholders.
  • Develop tech requirements to ensure the fulfillment network can scale to address future challenges and growth.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience.
  • 3+ years of working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience.
  • 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience.
  • 2+ years of supply chain experience.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) and SQL.
  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements.

Nice-to-haves

  • 3+ years of driving end-to-end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership experience.
  • 3+ years of driving process improvements experience.
  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization.
  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules.
