About the position

The Supply Chain Manager - North America at Vibrantz Technologies will play a pivotal role in supporting the Color Solutions business unit, based in Mayfield Heights, OH. This position reports directly to the Director of Supply Chain and is responsible for establishing an effective and integrated supply chain process within the company. The ideal candidate will identify, define, and implement improvements across the supply chain, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently. This role requires managing and directing the supply chain function and personnel, representing the supply chain organization to plant and division management teams, and acting as the plant process owner for capacity, material planning, and inventory management. In this key position, the Supply Chain Manager will be instrumental in setting the strategic direction of the business, aligning resources to meet goals, and responding to changing business conditions. The manager will oversee the entire planning process for procurement and supply chain activities, inventory control, logistics, and distribution, ensuring that processes are effectively functioning to avoid costly delays and lost opportunities. The role also involves ensuring effective communication between Supply Chain Management leadership, Sourcing, and the procurement team to meet priority requirements and ensure timely delivery of goods and services. Additionally, the Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for introducing process improvements, managing relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations, and implementing effective internal controls. The position requires the preparation of procurement plans and progress reports, as well as the management of all transactional procurement activities, including tendering processes, evaluation, contracting, and performance assessment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire process in the planning of procurement and supply chain activities, inventory control, logistics and distribution, ensuring effectively-functioning processes to avoid costly delays and lost opportunities
  • Ensure effective lines of communication between the Supply Chain Management leadership, Sourcing, and the procurement team to ensure priority requirements, timely delivery of goods, works and services using the most appropriate procurement procedures
  • Responsible for introducing process improvements in the supply chain and identify new vendors/suppliers without jeopardizing quality and service delivery
  • Manage relationships with vendors, suppliers and contractors that facilitate smooth flow of services
  • Ensure full compliance of procurement activities with the Company policies, financial rules and regulations, relevant organizational directives and administrative instructions
  • Implement effective internal control, proper design and functioning of a client-oriented procurement management system for projects and related reporting requirements
  • Ensure effective use of internal Standard Operating Procedures in Procurement, control of workflows, continuous business processes monitoring and elaboration of improvements in systems and processes
  • Manage and monitor all transactional procurement including tendering processes, evaluation, contracting, contract management, legal considerations and payment conditions, contractors, performance evaluation and risk assessment
  • Develop and manage the rosters of suppliers, elaborate supplier selection and evaluation, quality and performance measurement mechanisms
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual procurement plans and progress reports as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field
  • 5+ years of relevant operational experience in either manufacturing or logistics or planning
  • 2+ years of experience as a supply chain manager experience in supplier development/performance management
  • Proficiency in SAP/IFS (Supply and Manufacturing) desired
  • Manufacturing industry experience preferred
  • Process oriented with ability to document current practices while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Focuses on impact and result for the client and responds positively to feedback
  • Ability to lead and develop a team of Supply Chain professionals
  • Must possess conflict resolution skills
