About the position

As a Purchasing Supply Chain Manager at Uline, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing an inventory team dedicated to fulfilling our commitment to an "always in-stock" customer promise. This position is based at our Corporate Headquarters in Pleasant Prairie, WI, and is designed for individuals who are passionate about maintaining high standards in supply chain management. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of a team of Demand Planners and Buyers, ensuring that our inventory levels are optimized across Uline's extensive network of distribution centers and warehouses. Your expertise will be crucial in monitoring inventory levels, developing accurate product forecasts, and determining effective stocking strategies that align with our business goals. In this role, you will also be tasked with maintaining and building strong relationships with our vendors. Collaborating closely with the Merchandising team, you will address vendor issues, manage vendor changes, and evaluate potential product additions to our inventory. Your ability to communicate effectively and analyze data will be essential in driving the success of our supply chain operations. Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of a team of Demand Planners and Buyers.
  • Determine inventory levels at Uline's network of distribution centers and warehouses.
  • Monitor inventory levels, develop product forecasts and determine stocking strategies.
  • Maintain and build strong relationships with vendors.
  • Work with the Merchandising team to solve vendor issues, handle vendor changes and determine potential product additions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 10+ years of experience in Purchasing, Inventory Management or Demand Planning.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, contributing to the 'big picture.'
