About the position

The Supply Chain Manager - Technical Project Management at ALDI is responsible for managing and administering supply chain programs to secure products economically, thereby promoting the company's objectives of maximizing sales and controlling expenses. This role involves leading cross-functional teams, overseeing project schedules and budgets, and ensuring systems integration while driving strategic initiatives to future-proof ALDI's supply chain model. The ideal candidate will leverage their project management experience and technical knowledge to execute projects effectively and collaborate with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical interpretation and expertise, ensuring adherence to policies and regulations.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and communicate project schedules, objectives, and targets.
  • Develop and monitor project budgets and approval processes to ensure attainment of schedules and revenues.
  • Oversee the development of systems integration and assurance test plans and procedures.
  • Create and maintain written reports on project status, tests, costs, and performance for senior management.
  • Decide and approve equipment and material purchases according to authority levels.
  • Ensure training, development, and performance of team staff to retain a motivated workforce.
  • Recruit and recommend qualified employees for team positions.
  • Establish and communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to the team.
  • Communicate relevant information across departments to drive sales and profitability.
  • Support crisis communications and report significant changes to direct leadership.
  • Consult with leadership on team strategy and employee management decisions.
  • Liaise with applicable business areas for efficient communication flow.
  • Keep up-to-date on best practices and communicate updates to leadership.
  • Participate in special committees to establish best practices and business consistency.
  • Anticipate and mediate conflicts proactively.
  • Manage team projects and tasks through effective prioritization and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in business and retail operations required.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Experience with next-generation technologies in supply chain management.
  • Strong negotiation skills for procuring material handling equipment.
