About the position

The Manager of Supply Chain Analytics at IP Corporation plays a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing the flow of goods, resources, and information within the supply chain. This position is essential for ensuring that critical processes operate effectively and align with the organization's goals and performance KPIs. The Manager will be responsible for coordinating with various functions, including procurement, sales, operations, customer service, and transportation, to enhance the overall supply chain efficiency. This role requires a strong ability to identify bottlenecks or problem areas within the supply chain and to escalate issues while proposing effective solutions. In addition to coordination, the Manager will analyze demand forecasts, comparing them to existing inventory levels, and will coordinate the necessary supply chain activities to meet forecasted demand. The individual in this role must possess strong analytical skills to recommend and set planning parameters in MRP systems such as M3 and SAP, which are critical for guiding the planning function. Working closely with the Director of Supply Chain, the Manager will provide insights and structure to optimize inventory management for the distribution company. The position demands a proactive approach to supply chain management, where the Manager will be expected to lead initiatives that identify issues and opportunities, analyze relevant data, and recommend actionable solutions. The role also involves leading the design, coding, testing, and implementation of business intelligence reports, ensuring that communication is clear and focused on solutions or project goals. Furthermore, the Manager will refine forecasting management processes, reduce working capital, and minimize aging and obsolete inventory, while providing leadership and analytic insights to the Sales and Operations process (S&OP).

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and expedite the flow of goods, resources, and information in the supply chain.
  • Coordinate with procurement, sales, operations, customer service, and transportation to optimize the supply chain.
  • Identify bottlenecks or problem areas and escalate issues while proposing solutions.
  • Analyze demand forecasts and compare them to existing inventory levels.
  • Coordinate supply chain activities needed to meet forecasted demand.
  • Recommend and set planning parameters in MRP systems (M3, SAP, etc.).
  • Provide insight and structure to optimize inventory management.
  • Lead the design, coding, testing, and implementation of business intelligence reports.
  • Communicate effectively in terms of solutions or project goals.
  • Provide leadership for work groups in areas of specialization.
  • Refine forecasting management processes to reduce working capital and minimize aging and obsolete inventory.
  • Provide leadership and analytic insight to the Sales and Operations process (S&OP).
  • Identify root causes of inventory disruptions and propose management strategies.
  • Guide continuous improvement in planning parameters, including Segment Differentiation and 'Min-Max' inventory programs.
  • Develop or amend procedures to address recurring non-conformances (NCRs) related to supply chain and logistics issues.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in planning analytics.
  • Extensive systems and analytics experience.
  • Deep understanding of ERP/MRP systems and Salesforce software.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with all levels of leadership and across all functions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Statistics, or Operations Management.
  • Distribution industry experience.
  • Hands-on experience as a demand/supply planner.
  • Experience with S&OP meetings.
