As a Supply Chain Manager at Spartan Tool, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing our overall supply chain and logistics strategy and operations. Your primary objective will be to maximize process efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness across all supply chain functions. This position requires a strategic mindset and the ability to collaborate with senior management and cross-functional stakeholders to develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives. In this role, you will manage a multi-functional team responsible for the planning of procurement and supply chain activities. This includes overseeing purchasing, inventory management, compliance, logistics, and distribution. You will lead the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) processes to ensure that all supply chain operations function effectively, avoiding costly delays and lost opportunities. Your responsibilities will encompass strategic procurement, where you will implement sourcing strategies, evaluate suppliers, manage supplier relationships, and ensure quality management and performance measurement. You will also take full responsibility for inventory management, ensuring that the main warehouse in Niles and the Territory Managers' location warehouses operate efficiently. This includes implementing inventory management strategies, leading cycle count programs, and preparing inventory forecasts and reports. Compliance with local and international laws and regulations will be a critical aspect of your role, ensuring that all supply chain operations adhere to necessary standards. Logistics and distribution will also fall under your purview, where you will oversee the transportation of goods, manage relationships with carriers and third-party logistics providers, and supervise warehousing operations. You will be responsible for optimizing the distribution network to enhance delivery times and reduce transportation costs. Additionally, you will organize and lead regular SIOP meetings, collaborating with various teams to forecast demand and manage material requirements effectively.
