The Supply Chain Manager at AJR Enterprises, LLC will play a pivotal role in leading and managing the Supply Chain organization to align with the company's expectations for profitability and customer satisfaction. This position is crucial for ensuring that materials are purchased in a timely manner, at the lowest possible cost, and with the highest quality standards. The Supply Chain Manager will oversee the purchasing staff, supply chain planning, and resource material suppliers, while also negotiating pricing and lead times. Analyzing trends in pricing and sales activity will be essential to appropriately plan Just-In-Time (JIT) stock requirements. In this role, the manager will review, evaluate, and implement effective procurement strategies, policies, and procedures that ensure compliance with customer expectations and AJR's operational needs. The position requires evaluating existing and potential suppliers, materials, and slow-moving or obsolete inventory (SLOB), making recommendations for changes as necessary. The manager will be responsible for planning, developing, and purchasing materials, parts, supplies, and equipment in a timely and cost-effective manner while maintaining quality standards. Forecasting procurement needs and analyzing vendor pricing trends will be key components of the supply chain strategy. The Supply Chain Manager will also manage the departmental budget and key performance indicators (KPIs), establish and maintain effective vendor relationships, and monitor vendor contracts for trends and opportunities for continuous improvement. Collaboration with the Quality Assurance (QA) department and Operations Managers is essential to ensure that incoming materials meet quality and safety standards, as well as ensuring supplier compliance with company safety requirements. The role will drive initiatives aimed at simplification, standardization, and efficiency throughout the organization, while also managing the overall objectives and results of the purchasing team, including coaching, training, and development of team members. Adherence to safety rules and performing other assigned tasks will also be part of the responsibilities.
