About the position

The Supply Chain Manager at Ducommun is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the supply chain management process, ensuring effective leadership and strategic direction across the organization. This role involves managing supply chain strategies, cost-containment, and supplier performance to achieve quality, delivery, and cost objectives. The position plays a critical role in driving standard Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes and collaborating with various teams to optimize supply chain operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for the comprehensive supply chain function across the organization.
• Supervise the supply chain team and manage supply chain strategic and tactical planning.
• Ensure processes for supply chain management result in high customer satisfaction.
• Investigate current supply chain trends and implement appropriate solutions.
• Lead supplier development and manage supplier negotiations for new components.
• Coordinate and lead all facets of the S&OP process to meet customer satisfaction and business objectives.
• Manage materials and services acquisition at the lowest total cost.
• Work with production control and master scheduling to ensure effective supply chain execution.
• Manage and direct supply chain partners in vendor-managed inventory programs.
• Support new product launches and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field; MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of supply chain or related experience, including significant leadership experience.
• Minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role leading personnel.
• Minimum of 3 years of ERP system experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of previous S&OP processes experience.
• Strong cross-functional teamwork and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.

Nice-to-haves

• ISM or APICS certification preferred.
• CPM, CSM, or CPSM preferred.
• Experience in aerospace or electronic component manufacturing.
