In this role, you will oversee and manage inventory levels, ensuring that optimal stock levels are maintained to support production schedules and meet customer demands. You will build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with industry standards and company requirements. Additionally, you will coordinate logistics activities to ensure timely delivery of materials and products, manage transportation, warehousing, and distribution processes, and identify potential risks in the supply chain, developing strategies to mitigate them. Monitoring and analyzing supply chain performance metrics will be a critical part of your responsibilities, as you implement improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase overall effectiveness. You will also ensure that all supply chain activities comply with aerospace industry regulations and standards, including quality assurance and safety protocols. Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of supply chain professionals will be essential, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. Collaboration with other departments, such as engineering, production, and finance, will be necessary to align supply chain activities with broader business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage inventory levels to support production schedules and customer demands.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Coordinate logistics activities to ensure timely delivery of materials and products, managing transportation, warehousing, and distribution processes.
  • Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies to ensure continuity of supply and minimize disruptions.
  • Monitor and analyze supply chain performance metrics, implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensure all supply chain activities comply with aerospace industry regulations and standards, including quality assurance and safety protocols.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supply chain professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Work closely with other departments to align supply chain activities with broader business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; Master's degree preferred.
  • APICS or CSCP certification preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in supply chain management within the aerospace industry.
  • Experience in SAP S/4HANA with a deep understanding of its application in supply chain processes.
