We have a great opportunity for a Supply Chain Manager who wants to be a part of a growing company. If you have experience managing a Supply Chain Team and using an ERP system to maximize productivity, we want to talk with you. The Ultra-met Company is a leading independent manufacturer of tungsten carbide products for fabricators and tool makers that will be used in a wide range of industries such as the automotive, aerospace, medical, petroleum, and woodworking industries. Our products primarily consist of cutting tools and wear products. The manufacturing process involves making tungsten carbide powder, pressing, forming, sintering, and grinding operations. We are a locally owned, privately held, long-term growth-oriented company. This position operates with cross-functional interaction at various levels of the organization. The candidate will be an effective communicator that provides relevant information in a timely manner. Success in this role requires the ability to prioritize objectives in support of the needs of our customers, both internal and external. This position manages a department of two to three employees. Specific responsibilities include utilizing ERP to create and expedite work orders as needed, expanding Ultra-met's usage of our current ERP system, and training others on proper integration of our systems. Additionally, the role involves creating purchase orders per requisition or ERP demand, expediting jobs and processes to meet and accommodate production schedules, and establishing shop floor control. The Supply Chain Manager will also create/edit bills of material and work-order routings, manage the Cycle Count process, report results, reconcile, and drive corrective actions. Monitoring, analyzing, and reporting performance by utilizing information obtained from various reports and systems is also a key responsibility. The manager will ensure timely work-order closure, resolve variances, and drive corrective actions as needed, while executing transactions such as receipts to manufacturing, material issues, labor, and other inventory-related entries and adjustments. Supporting the team's objectives and leading the team are essential aspects of this role. Prior experience with Lean/5S is desired.
