About The Position

This position is responsible for managing the supply chain team within the assigned product group. Developing and executing a comprehensive supply chain strategy in alignment with the product plan and operation strategies for the assigned product group. Managing Purchase Part Sourcing process for new and existing products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, Purchasing Management, Supply Chain or Engineering
  • 5+ years' professional experience in Supply Chain or Operations, or a combination
  • Experience in minimum 2 functions within Supply Chain
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with direct and indirect employee groups
  • Intermediate computer knowledge (Microsoft Office, email, internet, etc.)
  • Written and verbal communication
  • Math, reading, and spelling skills
  • OR- An acceptable combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

  • Direct Leadership of Planners, Buyers, and Materials Specialist, for assigned product group.
  • Responsible for the alignment, development, and resource management of all roles within assigned product group.
  • Collaborates with Operations and Product Managers to develop and execute a supply chain strategy to meet corporate objectives for assigned product group.
  • Manage Supply Chain performance from customer order to delivery, resolves gaps within assigned product group.
  • Overall Inventory Management for assigned product group including: Inventory Value, Establishing Inventory Stock Levels, Slow Moving/Dead Inventory, and obsolescence of parts.
  • Monitors all aspects of supplier performance for Key Suppliers through Supplier Performance Scorecards and leads Supplier Business Reviews for assigned product group.
  • Mitigates business risk by monitoring supplier performance for critical suppliers, works with Buyers and Sourcing and Logistics Manager to resolve supplier performance gaps.
  • Research, prepare for, and lead supplier negotiation process for price, delivery, and payment terms.
  • Monitors supplier pricing changes and escalates price increases to Product Managers.
  • Manages the Purchase Part sourcing process for new products or sourcing changes of existing products, including make/buy decisions for outsourcing needs, and establishing alternate sources for materials.
  • Visit suppliers' offices and plants to investigate facilities, capacity, and ability to meet quality requirements, specifications, and delivery dates, as needed. May assist Quality in conducting audits of key suppliers.
  • Mitigate business risk and improve customer lead times by developing and maintaining supplier partnerships.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a collaborative manner with customers, suppliers, co-workers, and management.
  • Helps company meet its Strategic, Quality and Safety objectives.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
