At TE Connectivity, the Supply Chain Managers play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement, inventory control, and logistics operations necessary to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. This position is responsible for the availability of materials in the supply chain as scheduled, while also maintaining inventory at established levels. The Supply Chain - Materials Planning Manager in Mansfield, OH will focus on demand management, supply planning, supplier management, warehousing, line replenishment, and shipping and receiving. The role involves analyzing forecast signals from the Demand Planning team to generate an optimized build plan, ensuring effective communication across the extended supply chain. The manager will lead the Master Production Schedule (MPS) function to optimize production plans that support customer demand, optimize production utilization, and balance inventory effectively. Additionally, the manager will oversee the Material Planning team, ensuring the implementation of production plans across work centers, machines, or processes to meet customer requests. Monitoring the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system setup is essential, as is identifying capacity constraints and proactively driving capacity to avoid supply and demand gaps. The manager will also ensure appropriate parameter settings and system usage, while leading the Materials Analyst team to procure the right amount of material at the right time. Developing standards for materials management, overseeing physical inventories, and participating in monthly Supply Review Meetings to identify risks and opportunities are also key responsibilities. The role requires building relationships with suppliers and coordinating information flow between planning, warehouse, and production teams. Furthermore, the manager will be accountable for the timely and accurate execution of shipping and receiving operations, tracking and controlling supply chain KPIs, and continuously seeking innovations to improve overall supply chain performance.
