About the position

The Supply Chain Manager for Mativ's Healthcare division will play a pivotal role in overseeing the material requirements procurement, work center planning, inventory management, warehouse operations, safety, and customer account management specifically for the Dallas site. This position is crucial for delivering best practice Supply Chain advantages across Mativ by proactively identifying and executing cost-out and cash optimization opportunities, as well as implementing supply chain best practices and processes. The individual will lead the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process in collaboration with the supply chain team, customers, commercial sales team, and manufacturing team to align required demand with available capacity. A key performance indicator for this role is to meet or exceed the corporate service level goal of 95% or higher for Customer Level Inventory Performance (CLIP). In addition to managing service levels, the Supply Chain Manager will provide internal and external stakeholders with monthly and annual revenue projections based on open orders, demand forecasts, and planned schedules. The role requires a keen focus on inventory management, balancing the need for available inventory to support customer demand and planned production scheduling while striving to increase inventory turns. The manager will also be responsible for achieving corporate goals related to inventory levels, ensuring they remain at 18% of annual revenue or lower. This includes proactively evaluating expiring inventory to identify opportunities for utilization before expiry and minimizing write-offs. The position also involves leading customer account management activities, ensuring effective communication regarding order fulfillment, shipping schedules, and material availability or capacity challenges. The Supply Chain Manager will drive year-on-year savings in terms of site and company profit and loss, net working capital, and supply chain optimization. Collaboration with other site teams and the Global Category team is essential, utilizing continuous improvement tools to implement sustainable supply chains that ensure continuity of supply and optimize lead times, minimum order quantities (MOQs), inventory, payment terms, and other key supply chain parameters. The role demands a proactive approach to driving out costs in direct materials, packaging, logistics, and indirect areas while eliminating risks and optimizing opportunities in dealings with external suppliers, all while adhering to Mativ's code of conduct and corporate social responsibility. Additionally, the Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for maintaining accurate and complete Supply Chain SAP information in line with Group requirements and providing procurement support to site R&D, production, and other key stakeholders in New Product Development (NPD) and product substitutions. The manager will also support the Mativ Dallas Procurement team with tools and guidance, contributing to the Global Procurement team by sharing best practices and a coordinated approach to shared vendors and products.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Dallas S&OP process working with supply chain team, customers, commercial sales team, and the manufacturing team to match the required demand with available capacity.
  • Meet/Exceed corporate service level goal of 95% or higher CLIP.
  • Provide internal and external stakeholders with monthly and annual revenue projections based upon open orders, demand forecasts and planned schedules.
  • Monitor, manage and balance the need to have inventory available to support customer demand and planned production scheduling while striving to increase inventory turns.
  • Meet/Exceed corporate goal of achieving inventory levels that are 18% of annual revenue or lower.
  • Proactively evaluate expiring inventory to identify opportunities to utilize and consume before the expiry date and minimize write-offs.
  • Lead the site customer account management activities related to communication of order fulfillment, shipping schedules, and material availability/capacity challenges and issues.
  • Drive through and deliver Year-on-year savings in terms of the site and Company P&L, net working capital, and supply chain optimization.
  • In close collaboration with other Site teams and the Global Category team, using continuous improvement tools, lead and implement sustainable supply chains, ensuring continuity of supply and optimization of lead times, MOQs, inventory, payment terms, and other key supply chain parameters.
  • Proactively drive out costs in the direct materials, packaging, logistics, and indirect area.
  • Eliminate risk and optimize opportunities in all dealings with external suppliers and supply chains, whilst ensuring adherence to the Mativ code of conduct and corporate social responsibility.
  • Responsible for the site Supply Chain SAP information, ensuring accuracy and completion in line with Group requirements.
  • Provide all appropriate Procurement support to site R&D, production, and other key stakeholders in New Product Development (NPD), product substitutions (NPV), and other growth opportunities.
  • Provide Procurement support, tools, and guidance to the Mativ Dallas Procurement team.
  • Be part of the Global Procurement team sharing best practices and a coordinated approach to shared vendors and products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or sciences or at least 5 years' experience in Supply Chain management to include procurement, planning and warehouse operations.
  • Strong leadership and team development/management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective in work organization: managing priorities and objectives in a timely manner.
  • Maintains a process focus and time-based approach with regard to Production Planning, Inventory Management, and Capacity Utilization.
  • Proven skills in communication, negotiation, and initiative as well as proven success in operating within a Global and Matrix organization.
  • Proven track record in achieving cost savings and improvements in other supply chain metrics.

Nice-to-haves

  • CIPs or other professional purchasing/Supply Chain qualification/certification preferred.
  • Familiar with an integrated ERP system; preferably SAP.
  • Through understanding of MRP concepts, capacity planning, routings, and Bills of Material as they pertain to the planning process.
  • Experienced with End-to-End Supply Chain Management processes.
