About the position

The Supply Chain Manager at Aerosonic is responsible for overseeing and enhancing material planning, purchasing, production scheduling, and logistics operations to ensure a seamless production flow while minimizing inventory costs. This role involves leading a team of buyers and planners to identify and resolve issues, utilizing data for effective decision-making, and collaborating with various departments to meet the company's operational goals.

Responsibilities

• Manage and improve material planning, purchasing, production scheduling, and logistics operations.
• Develop and implement integrated planning processes including make vs buy, capacity planning, and inventory management.
• Analyze customer demand and sales forecasts to create build to order and build to forecast plans.
• Prepare customer delivery reports and proactively communicate potential late deliveries.
• Establish and supervise production scheduling activities, monitoring material inventories and production progress.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies to meet business growth and sourcing requirements.
• Manage relationships with suppliers to meet cost, quality, and delivery targets.
• Implement systems to evaluate and report supplier performance.
• Coordinate with quality, design, and manufacturing teams to ensure on-time delivery.
• Participate in cross-functional operational decisions and track performance using KPIs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, management, or a related discipline.
• Experience in materials management and sourcing in a design and manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems in a manufacturing context.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Decisive leadership and problem-solving skills under pressure.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Master's degree in a related field.
• Experience with EXACT MAX ERP system.
