About the position

The Supply Chain Manager is a pivotal role within the organization, responsible for overseeing the procurement of supplies and managing inventory effectively. This position plays a crucial part in ensuring that the supply chain operates smoothly, which includes supply distribution, budget management, and compliance with contracts and service agreements. The Supply Chain Manager will also be involved in negotiating purchases and managing messenger services, ensuring that all supplies are procured in a timely and cost-effective manner. In addition to these responsibilities, the Supply Chain Manager chairs the house-wide Value Analysis Team, which focuses on evaluating the value of products and services used within the organization. This role requires strong leadership skills as the Supply Chain Manager will manage a team that includes Buyers, Product Specialists, and Print Shop/Mail Room Services, as well as Messengers. The ability to communicate effectively and lead a diverse team is essential for success in this position. The Supply Chain Manager will also be expected to collaborate with various departments to ensure that the supply chain aligns with the organization's goals and objectives. This includes working closely with healthcare professionals to understand their needs and ensuring that the supplies procured meet those needs efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the procurement of supplies and inventory management.
  • Assist with supply distribution and budget management.
  • Ensure compliance with contracts and service agreements.
  • Negotiate purchases and manage messenger services.
  • Chair the house-wide Value Analysis Team.
  • Manage a team of Buyers, Product Specialists, and Print Shop/Mail Room Services.
  • Collaborate with various departments to align supply chain operations with organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree required with two years applicable purchasing experience and/or relevant education.
  • Previous relevant supervisory experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of purchasing procedures and systems.
  • Expertise with ERP platforms such as Workday, particularly in the healthcare field.
  • Certification from a recognized Purchasing organization.
