About the position

The Supply Chain Manager at Lincotek Medical is responsible for overseeing the procurement of products and services, ensuring that all operations related to Direct Materials and Indirect Materials purchasing are executed efficiently. This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities including capacity planning, production planning, inventory control, logistics, and distribution. The primary goal is to ensure that customer orders are fulfilled on time while also meeting inventory and cost reduction targets. The Supply Chain Manager will communicate directly with customers regarding delivery and scheduling issues, working closely with Sales Support and Planner/Schedulers to determine order priorities for manufacturing personnel. This position requires a high degree of integrity and leadership, as the manager will be responsible for maintaining supplier relationships and managing all purchasing activities, including the review of contracts and supply agreements. In addition to procurement and supplier management, the Supply Chain Manager will be tasked with capacity planning, which includes scheduling machinery, products, and manpower to maximize operational efficiency and improve process flow. Cost control and materials management are also critical components of this role, as is the management of inventory for raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods. The manager will have the final authority on scheduling equipment and will oversee the delivery aspects of contract reviews. Responsibilities

  • Administer activities and personnel involved in procuring products and services.
  • Manage Direct Materials and Indirect Materials purchasing.
  • Oversee capacity planning, production planning, and inventory control.
  • Ensure customer orders are fulfilled on time and meet inventory and cost reduction goals.
  • Communicate with customers regarding delivery and scheduling issues.
  • Determine order priorities for manufacturing personnel to meet delivery dates.
  • Lead supplier management and maintain supplier relationships.
  • Review all purchasing contracts and supply agreements.
  • Schedule machine, product, and manpower to maximize capacity and improve process flow.
  • Control costs and manage materials effectively.
  • Manage inventory of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
  • Have final authority on scheduling equipment for production.
  • Oversee the delivery portion of Contract Review.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university.
  • More than 5 years of relevant experience and/or training in supply chain management.
  • Experience in procuring products and services, capacity planning, and production planning.
  • Knowledge of purchasing direct and indirect materials, inventory control, and logistics.
  • APICS (CPIM) or C.P.M. certification preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Epicor or QAD) or other software and technology implementations.
