MEPPI's Critical Power Solutions Division (CPSD) is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to oversee and manage the supply chain functions, which include purchasing, inventory management, customer order management, and material handling for the division. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating and supporting purchasing and strategic sourcing activities that are essential for CPSD's production, engineering, service, capital investments, and facilities operations. In this role, the Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for managing all activities related to CPSD supply chain management, with a strong emphasis on inventory management, material costs, risk management, contingency planning, and overall supply base performance. The manager will research and develop long-term supply chain strategies that align with CPSD and MEPPI objectives, implementing best practice techniques to measure and drive improvements in delivery, pricing, quality, responsiveness, environmental performance, and inventory turnover. The Supply Chain Manager will serve as a liaison between vendors and suppliers, maximizing and maintaining vendor performance. This includes negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors on pricing, lead times, delivery schedules, and terms and conditions to support customer commitments. The manager will also participate in the qualification of new suppliers, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and customer commitments, with a focus on quality standards. Additionally, the role involves overseeing purchasing activities and customer order management staff, ensuring alignment with MEPPI's business system and production schedules to maximize efficiency. The manager will communicate product forecasts with MELCO and other key vendors, collaborating with CPSD personnel to establish accurate forecasts while managing customer expectations and inventory levels. The position requires analyzing forecasts against supplier capacity and lead times, approving purchase orders as necessary. The Supply Chain Manager will also negotiate contracts, manage conflict resolution, and oversee the procurement of capital expenditures for CPSD. Analyzing and optimizing costs and timeliness of transportation arrangements will be part of the responsibilities, along with developing action plans to reduce costs and improve freight forwarder performance. The manager will monitor purchasing performance metrics, maintain optimal inventory levels, and ensure compliance with established policies and procedures. Utilizing digital technology solutions to enhance supply chain efficiency will also be a key focus of this role. Finally, the Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for managing the supply chain staff, developing employees through training and education opportunities, conducting performance reviews, and contributing to the positive image of the Operations Department by fostering cooperative relationships with other departments and suppliers.
