About the position

Blake's Orchard and Cider Mill is seeking a dedicated and experienced Supply Chain Manager to oversee our supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supplier relationship management, procurement, warehouse and logistics management, and team leadership. This role is crucial for ensuring we continue to provide high-quality products at great value while maintaining our commitment to excellence and integrity. The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with current and potential suppliers, negotiating contracts and agreements to secure the best value for products and services, and ensuring that suppliers meet quality and delivery standards. In addition to supplier relationship management, the Supply Chain Manager will identify and evaluate new product opportunities, purchase high-quality products at competitive prices, and monitor market trends to adjust purchasing strategies accordingly. The role also involves overseeing the efficient operation of our warehouse and distribution processes, implementing best practices for inventory management, and ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of orders. As a leader, the Supply Chain Manager will manage the supply chain team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. This includes providing training and development opportunities for team members, setting performance goals, and conducting regular evaluations. The role also requires contributing to building a strong, positive organizational culture by promoting honesty, dependability, and high integrity within the team. The candidate must be prepared to work long hours during peak seasons to meet increased demand and ensure the supply chain can support the business's needs during busy periods.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Proven experience in supply chain management, preferably in the food and beverage industry.

  • High level of honesty, dependability, and integrity.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours during peak seasons.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
