About The Position

The Supply Chain Manager at Techniplas is responsible for overseeing the control and movement of materials in and out of the facility. This role involves directing production scheduling, inventory management, and customer service, while also investigating new developments to reduce costs and improve quality. The manager will ensure efficient material control and maintain compliance with quality systems, all while fostering employee development and continuous improvement within the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required, MBA preferred.
  • 6-8 years of progressively increasing responsibility in purchasing, production scheduling, inventory control, and supplier/customer relations.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Prior computerized planning/materials control experience required.
  • Demonstrated expertise in ERP systems required; Plex experience is a plus.
  • Proven track record in Lean manufacturing and success in implementation of redesigned processes.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt, Green Belt, or Lean Master Certification preferred.
  • Experience with JIS/JIT.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the master schedule to meet customer requirements while maximizing manufacturing efficiency and maintaining effective inventory levels.
  • Analyze and evaluate delivery problems and implement solutions.
  • Coordinate functions related to warehouse operations, production material flow, shipping, and inventory control.
  • Implement methods and policies for efficient material control.
  • Pursue methods to reduce inventory to the lowest level consistent with production and delivery requirements.
  • Track and improve inventory control and inventory turns.
  • Coordinate activities related to customer service.
  • Participate in product development to identify and develop sources for equipment and materials.
  • Review and process claims for material and equipment discrepancies.
  • Maintain operating budget compliance and develop plans for cost reductions.
  • Deploy quality systems in the department to comply with documented procedures and achieve improvement goals.
  • Develop employees to ensure maximum utilization of skills and effective leadership.
  • Implement and drive continuous improvement in coordination with management.
