About the position

The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire supply chain process at the Ohio plant, ensuring the efficient flow of materials and products. This role requires strong leadership and strategic thinking to align supply chain strategies with the company's business objectives, while also fostering collaboration across various departments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Oversee and manage the entire supply chain process for the plant, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, such as production, sales, and finance, to understand their supply chain needs and ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and negotiate favorable contracts to ensure cost-effective and high-quality materials.
  • Maintain strong relationships with OEM customers.
  • Monitor and analyze supply chain performance metrics and make continuous improvements to drive efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Identify potential supply chain risks and develop contingency plans to minimize their impact on operations.
  • Lead and develop a team of supply chain professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure their success and growth.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in supply chain management and implement innovative solutions to improve processes and increase productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards in regards to supply chain operations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Supply Chain Manager or in a similar role within supply chain management.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain processes and best practices.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills with suppliers and customers.
  • Strong analytical skills to monitor and improve supply chain performance metrics.
  • Ability to develop strategic plans and implement them effectively.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Familiarity with supply chain management software and tools.
  • Certifications in supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CSCP).
