About the position

The Supply Chain Manufacturing Engineer Intern position at Veolia Water Technologies & Solutions is designed for students or recent graduates pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. This internship provides an opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical manufacturing environment, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to innovative projects. The role emphasizes hands-on experience, problem-solving, and effective communication within a dynamic team setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist or lead in the design and modification of product components and full mechanical/electric assemblies using SolidWorks.
  • Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot manufacturing issues on the production floor.
  • Use various tools to prototype or test new designs/fixtures.
  • Document and review processes (work instructions, etc.).
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions for product/testing improvements.
  • Shadow experienced engineers to learn about different aspects of manufacturing and/or help as needed.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Ability to commit to a full-time internship for the duration of the program (e.g., 2-4 months).
  • Willingness to adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks.
  • Hands-on experience with common tools and basic machining equipment.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical systems and components.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Experience with data analysis and report writing.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Adaptability and eagerness to learn new technologies and processes.
