About the position

The Supply Chain Manufacturing Liaison at Curtiss-Wright Corporation plays a crucial role in supporting the Purchasing organization by providing technical assistance to Buyers and ensuring supplier performance. This position involves evaluating supplier processes, improving on-time delivery, and collaborating with various teams to enhance manufacturing efficiency and supplier relations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Manufacturing Engineering technical support to Buyers.
  • Perform supplier process outline evaluations and support supplier on-time delivery performance.
  • Review and evaluate supplier processes and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency.
  • Work closely with Buyers, Project Teams, and Design Engineering to maintain supplier relations.
  • Support Purchasing initiatives by identifying and resolving processing problems in the supply base.
  • Develop new suppliers to enhance competition and address supply vulnerabilities.
  • Build relationships with suppliers to improve communication and on-time delivery performance.
  • Interface with Project Teams and Design Engineering during product designs to provide Design for Manufacturability feedback.
  • Implement Supply Chain Lean practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experience in a Manufacturing Lead role.
  • Minimum of five years in a manufacturing environment with experience in machining, fabrication welding, and assembly processes.
  • Green or Black Belt Lean Certification is a plus.
  • Experience in Supply Chain and building supply chains is desired.
  • Working knowledge of commercial nuclear and/or quality systems is desired.
  • Ability to read blueprints, particularly involving GD&T per ASME Y14.5M.
  • Understanding of MRP scheduling and Bill of Material structures as they relate to manufacturing.
  • Experience in Microsoft Project is a plus.
  • Experience in evaluating design changes and their impact on manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent organization, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, especially with tight feature tolerances and rework of part deviations.
