About the position

The Principal - Supply Chain & Manufacturing role is a senior leadership position focused on driving the growth of the Supply Chain Practice through expertise, innovation, and collaboration with other leaders in the industry. This position requires a deep understanding of the Supply Chain and Manufacturing sectors, as well as the ability to lead large-scale client business development and delivery engagements. The Principal will be responsible for consistently delivering high-quality client services and ensuring that work products are completed within expected timeframes and budgets. In this role, the Principal will monitor project progress, manage risks, and keep key stakeholders informed about outcomes and expectations. Staying abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to clients is crucial, as is the ability to effectively lead and motivate diverse teams. The Principal will provide constructive feedback and coaching to team members, fostering an innovative and inclusive work environment. Additionally, the role involves counseling and mentoring junior consultants, ensuring their professional growth and development within the organization. Candidates must demonstrate deep knowledge of the life sciences industry sector and possess functional expertise across operations. The ability to quickly assimilate new knowledge and remain current on developments in advisory services and industry knowledge is essential. The Principal will also need to exhibit strong business acumen and a high level of motivation, with a self-starting attitude that thrives on new challenges. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, along with strong oral and written communication abilities, are critical for success in this position.

Responsibilities

• Drive the overall Supply Chain Practice growth through expertise, innovation, and collaboration with other leaders.
• Lead large scale client business development and delivery engagements in Supply Chain & Manufacturing Industry.
• Consistently deliver quality client services and drive high-quality work products within expected timeframes and on budget.
• Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes.
• Stay abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client's business.
• Effectively lead and motivate teams with diverse skills and backgrounds.
• Provide constructive on-the-job feedback/coaching to team members.
• Foster an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment.
• Play an active role in counseling and mentoring junior consultants within the organization.
• Demonstrate deep life sciences industry sector knowledge with functional expertise across operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree; MBA or Advanced Degree is highly desirable.
• 20+ years' experience in supply chain & manufacturing management consulting.
• 10+ years' experience in a leadership role within a professional services firm.
• Demonstrated experience with driving revenue within existing clients and in developing new prospects at the C level.
• Prior experience in Supply Chain & Manufacturing.
• Characteristics of a forward thinker and self-starter that thrives on new challenges and adapts quickly to learning new knowledge.
• Ability to lead a virtual team of consulting professionals across multiple projects.
