About the position

The Supply Chain Manufacturing Specialist at Northrop Grumman plays a crucial role in supporting production operations by managing material requirements, ensuring quality, and coordinating logistics. This position is essential for maintaining efficient supply chain processes and supporting the company's defense systems sector.

Responsibilities

• Identify raw material and component requirements for production from engineering and production specifications and schedules
• Generate purchase requisitions to support future build needs
• Track material quality and initiate actions to extend or eliminate expiring material
• Coordinate material movement between warehouse and production areas
• Coordinate with purchasing, production, warehouse, and engineering personnel to ensure appropriate quantities of materials are always on hand
• Support and assist activities within multiple disciplines across the Supply Chain process
• Plan and prioritize material resources to ensure Operations needs are met
• Resolve complex issues in a creative, analytical manner
• Identify risks and determine mitigation strategies with a mindset of continual improvement

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment or a related sector, or a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 0 years of experience in a manufacturing setting
• For Level 2: High school diploma or GED with at least 6 years of experience, or a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience, or a master's degree with no required experience in a manufacturing facility
• Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD Secret Security Clearance

• Demonstrated knowledge of scheduling, production control, and manufacture of products
