About the position

The Supply Chain Operations Coordinator will play a crucial role in the execution of day-to-day operations and planning activities, ensuring the continuous supply of multiple commercial products in the US. This position requires a motivated and detail-oriented individual who will serve as a key point of contact (POC) for the Supplier Relationship Team (SRT). The coordinator will manage production schedules, maintain optimal inventory levels, oversee logistics requirements, and ensure compliance with quality event records, all while supporting overall supply chain efficiency. In this role, the coordinator will be responsible for managing the operational relationship with finished goods contract manufacturers and medical device manufacturers. This includes advancing activities to support ongoing production, submitting product forecasts, issuing purchase orders, and providing necessary documentation to ensure that appropriate capacities and resources are available for all commercialized products. The coordinator will also monitor the execution of supply and inventory plans, track progress against established metrics, and lead regular reviews of supplier performance to ensure KPI achievement. Collaboration with Quality Assurance is essential to promote and maintain compliance. The coordinator will initiate quality event records, including change controls, deviations, and CAPAs, and drive their closure. Additionally, the coordinator will ensure that inventory is maintained at target levels, proactively highlight discrepancies and risks, and implement corrective actions to restore inventory to target levels. The role also involves leading the inventory reconciliation process with finance, executing SAP transactions for real-time inventory accuracy, and supporting product lifecycle initiatives such as artwork changes and secondary package design improvements. The coordinator will evaluate existing procedures and department SOPs, identify gaps, and modify or create new procedures that align with ongoing business transformations. Contributing to continuous improvement projects to enhance capabilities and improve process efficiency is also a key responsibility of this position.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the operational relationship with finished goods contract manufacturer(s) and medical device manufacturer(s).
  • Monitor execution of the supply and inventory plans across the firm horizon and track progress against established metrics.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance to promote and maintain compliance.
  • Initiate quality event records including change controls, deviations, and CAPAs and drive closure.
  • Ensure that inventory is maintained at target levels and implement corrective actions to restore inventory to target levels.
  • Lead inventory reconciliation process with finance including monthly supplier reconciliation and quarterly Excess & Obsolete (E&O) material projections.
  • Execute SAP transactions to ensure accuracy of real-time inventory picture.
  • Support product lifecycle initiatives such as artwork changes and secondary package design improvements.
  • Evaluate existing procedures and department SOPs and modify or create new procedures as needed.
  • Contribute towards continuous improvement projects to drive expanded capabilities and improve efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Business Administration, or similar education required.
  • 3+ years of experience in the biotech pharmaceutical industry with at least 2+ years in Supply Chain roles.
  • Broad familiarity with packaging operations, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and warehousing.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
  • Experience with supplier relationship management in a cGMP environment.
  • Experience working in ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Ability to work in fast paced environments and great organizational skills.

  • APICS and/or PMP certification is a plus.
