About the position

The Supply Chain Operations Manager at Microsoft will play a crucial role in the Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) organization, which is responsible for managing the infrastructure that supports Microsoft's expanding cloud business. This position focuses on ensuring efficient supply chain operations, including demand-supply shaping, inventory management, and performance metrics, to deliver cloud services predictably and effectively. The role requires collaboration with various teams to optimize supply chain performance and drive continuous improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Drive supply shaping activities to execute and deliver finished goods to global data centers.
  • Maintain company inventory, minimizing overstock and out-of-stock occurrences.
  • Analyze supply and demand of Microsoft products and forecast accordingly.
  • Monitor inventory supply and design tools for effective inventory management.
  • Develop and drive internal and external key performance indicators and metrics.
  • Work cross-functionally with key stakeholders to achieve delivery performance targets.
  • Manage trade-offs between supplier and business needs within Microsoft.
  • Lead continuous improvements and process initiatives alongside day-to-day operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 3+ years of relevant experience OR Master's Degree in a related field AND 1+ year of relevant experience.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.

Nice-to-haves

  • 7-10 years' supplier management experience in Electronics or high-volume supply chain environments.
  • 3-5 years of Program Management and data analytics experience.
  • Understanding of MRP, Excel, Power Point, SQL, Access, and Power BI.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ability to work well in ambiguous situations.
