As a Supply Chain Operations Specialist II, you will play an essential role in delivering superior supply chain services. You will be responsible for providing exceptional operational support in the supply chain environment, ensuring data integrity and effective transportation operations. Your role will involve managing documents for accuracy, updating operational/customer transportation data in software systems, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. You will also assist in identifying potential operational or service concerns and work collaboratively with co-workers to resolve them. This position requires a high school diploma or GED and two years of office experience in a logistics or transportation environment. You will need to demonstrate basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and other job-specific software applications, as well as possess strong customer service skills and the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

  • Develop and provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers at all times.
  • Manage documents for accuracy, such as dates, times, location, counts, and related information.
  • Update operational/customer transportation data in software systems and applications.
  • Utilize databases, logs, and other sources to locate and verify information.
  • Manage forms, labels, billing, invoices, and related documents to ensure timely processing.
  • Track orders and information through systems, vendors, and related sources.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and maintain a safe and effective work environment.
  • Assist with identifying potential operational or service concerns and notify appropriate co-workers.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or GED.
  • Two years of office experience in a logistics/transportation environment.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, Internet, web-based and job specific software applications.
  • Ability to enter, review and verify documentation and information.
  • Ability to prepare logs, reports and documents.
  • Knowledgeable of customer service principles and practices.
  • Understanding of operational and support principles and practices in a related supply chain environment.
  • Capable of operating in a fast-paced environment and in both a team and individual contributor environment.
  • Ability to communicate with co-workers to provide and receive direction.
