The Supply Chain Optimization Planner at Stanley Black & Decker is a pivotal role designed to enhance the efficiency of stock transport orders (STOs) across various facilities. This position is integral to maintaining and improving service levels while coordinating inbound loads within the distribution network. The planner will engage with multiple systems to gather necessary data, collaborate with supply chain management, and ensure that the logistics of stock transport are executed smoothly. The role requires a proactive approach to planning and prioritizing orders, as well as effective communication with both internal teams and external partners to expedite shipments and resolve any issues that may arise. In this role, the Supply Chain Optimization Planner will be responsible for creating and managing Stock Transport Orders (STOs) between distribution centers and other facilities, particularly for the Tools business segment. This includes supporting the prioritization of STO processing, coordinating with carriers, and communicating system-generated recommendations to relevant stakeholders. The planner will also be tasked with planning promotional orders from SAP in Transportation Management (TM) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ensuring that these orders are aligned with sales operations and third-party logistics teams. The position demands a keen understanding of warehouse operations and transportation logistics, as well as the ability to monitor service levels and performance metrics. The planner will also participate in end-user testing for system changes and provide technical support for STO creation and issue resolution. This role is essential for maintaining the flow of goods and ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled efficiently and effectively.
