About the position
The Supply Chain Order Processor at Prime Matter Labs plays a crucial role in managing the flow of orders from customers through the manufacturing process. This position involves direct communication with suppliers and collaboration with various departments to ensure timely fulfillment of orders and effective project management. Responsibilities
- Process orders from customers as they move from development to production and identify requirements for fulfillment.
- Manage inventory, assessing on-hand materials and new requirements.
- Issue purchase orders, communicating regularly with suppliers via phone and email.
- Provide schedulers with expected arrival dates for materials and advise of any potential delays.
- Communicate with customer service team members to ensure they have all necessary information to maintain customer updates on order progress.
- Release orders to manufacturing and production teams as soon as possible.
- Perform additional support duties within the supply chain.
- Receive cross-training in all purchasing department functions.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience working in a manufacturing/purchasing environment.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Competence in basic math functions.
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze data, establish clear priorities quickly, and drive the decision-making process.
- Ability to work effectively under tight timelines, handle multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
- Strong collaboration and administrative skills.
- Experience in data entry and MS Office (especially Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Strong Excel skills.
- High school diploma.
