About the position

We are looking for a Supply Chain Planner II to help us manage complex problems and tasks in a 24x7 manufacturing environment. As a Trex Supply Chain Planner II, you will be looked to as an innovator and expected to build the production schedule and maintain inventory in our ERP system. This role is a key member of our Supply Chain team. In this position, you will manage raw material ordering to ensure adequate supply for the manufacturing schedule. You will support cycle counts and research to resolve discrepancies in the ERP system. Additionally, you will coordinate the transportation of materials with consideration for just-in-time delivery and space constraints. Your responsibilities will also include managing the conversion of the supply plan to a master production schedule, balancing sales order fulfillment with manufacturing efficiency, and implementing and measuring schedule adherence for root cause analysis. You will partner with quality, engineering, and R&D to ensure materials placed on hold are efficiently evaluated for release or scrap to meet sales order requirements. Collaborating with engineering and R&D to manage project work and trial requirements within the production schedule will also be part of your role. Furthermore, you will identify and implement process improvements for working capital and production efficiency, contributing to the overall success of the supply chain operations at Trex.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in supply chain or operations.
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain or operations.
  • Experience as a production planner or supply chain analyst.
  • Experience with ERP and MRP systems.
