About the position

The Supply Chain Planner II at Trex Company plays a crucial role in managing complex supply chain tasks within a 24x7 manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for building production schedules, maintaining inventory in the ERP system, and ensuring the timely delivery of materials. The role requires collaboration with various departments to optimize production efficiency and support the company's commitment to sustainability and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Manage raw material ordering to ensure adequate supply for the manufacturing schedule.
• Support cycle counts and research to resolve discrepancies in the ERP system.
• Coordinate transportation of materials with consideration for just-in-time delivery and space constraints.
• Manage the conversion of the supply plan to a master production schedule.
• Balance sales order fulfillment with manufacturing efficiency.
• Implement and measure schedule adherence for root cause analysis.
• Partner with quality, engineering, and R&D to ensure materials placed on hold are efficiently evaluated for release or scrap to meet sales order requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering and R&D to manage project work and trial requirements within the production schedule.
• Identify and implement process improvements for working capital and production efficiency.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in supply chain or operations.
• 5+ years of experience in supply chain or operations, preferably as a production planner or supply chain analyst.
• Experience with ERP and MRP systems.
