About the position
The Supply Chain Planning Coordinator at HSN is a hybrid role responsible for tracking and managing inbound purchase orders from vendors to multiple fulfillment centers. This position requires effective communication and decision-making skills to ensure timely delivery of products, addressing any delays, and coordinating with transportation teams to find solutions. The role is integral to maintaining the flow of products to support on-air sales and customer shipping.
Responsibilities
- Track all purchase orders (POs) for high and low volume purchases going to multiple fulfillment centers.
- Ensure POs are released by vendors, shipped, and loaded into a sellable status in time for on-air presentation and customer shipping.
- Work with the transportation team to find alternative transportation solutions to support on-time delivery while maintaining cost efficiency.
- Communicate with on-air planning managers and buyers regarding any product delays and provide updates on expected delivery or alternative options.
- Reach out to vendors regarding unreleased POs and resolve any issues affecting product delivery.
- Collaborate with transportation teams to implement changes to routing or destination while in transit.
- Identify and rectify errors with incorrect EDI information.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years of experience in supply chain or related field.
- Knowledge of transportation terms and logistical options.
