About the position
The Supply Chain Planning Coordinator at HSN is a hybrid role responsible for managing and tracking inbound purchase orders from vendors to multiple fulfillment centers. This position requires effective communication and decision-making skills to ensure timely delivery of products, addressing any delays, and coordinating with transportation teams to find solutions. The role plays a crucial part in maintaining the flow of products to support HSN's unique shopping experience.
Responsibilities
- Track all purchase orders (POs) for high and low volume purchases going to multiple fulfillment centers.
- Ensure POs are released by vendors, shipped, and loaded into a sellable status in time for on-air presentation and customer shipping.
- Collaborate with the transportation team to find alternative solutions for on-time delivery while maintaining cost efficiency.
- Communicate with on-air planning managers and buyers about any product delays and provide updates on expected delivery or alternative options.
- Reach out to vendors regarding unreleased POs and resolve issues affecting product delivery.
- Work with transportation teams to implement changes to in-transit deliveries and rectify errors with EDI information.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in supply chain or logistics roles.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
- Role-specific education or certificates in Supply Chain.
