About the position

Post Consumer Brands is seeking a Supply Chain Planning Coordinator to join our team in Lakeville, MN. This full-time position is integral to our operations, focusing on monitoring inventory and supply sources to support our Private Label and Co-Manufacturing processes. The Supply Chain Planning Coordinator will work under the direction of the Master Supply Planning Manager, PL/CoMan, and will be responsible for ensuring that our inventory levels align with customer demand, thereby maintaining our commitment to high-quality service and product availability. In this role, you will coordinate the finished goods inventory across our supply chain network, balancing the necessary inventory levels to service our customers effectively. You will also provide project coordination support for various initiatives within the Supply Chain Planning department, which may include managing item discontinuations or introductions, tracking promotions, analyzing aging inventory, and investigating root causes of supply chain disruptions. Your ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including customer service, transportation, and material planning teams, will be crucial in ensuring that we meet our production plan needs and maintain service level targets. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to facilitate weekly service meetings with cross-functional groups. You will be expected to track and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), perform root cause analyses on significant variances, and follow escalation procedures to enhance customer service. Additionally, you will partner with customer service teams to track promotions and ensure item availability, while also reviewing material plans to recommend changes that support production availability and minimize inventory write-offs. Your role will involve documenting and communicating action plans, providing cross-functional expertise, and assisting the Supply Chain Planning team with various projects.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor inventory and supply sources to support Private Label and Co-Manufacturing processes.
  • Coordinate finished goods inventory across the supply chain network to balance inventory levels.
  • Provide project coordination support for identified projects within the Supply Chain Planning department.
  • Track and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) on significant variances and perform root cause analysis.
  • Communicate inventory timing needs to master supply planning, production planning, material planning, customer solutions, and transportation planning.
  • Facilitate weekly service meetings with cross-functional groups, including customers, to address service concerns.
  • Partner with customer service on promotional tracking and item availability.
  • Review existing material plans to recommend changes for item transition projects.
  • Coordinate activities to pursue opportunities and resolve issues, documenting and following up on action plans.
  • Provide cross-functional information and expertise within assigned projects.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Accounting, administrative training, or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of combined related experience in customer service, planning, operations, inventory control, production scheduling, demand management, capacity management, materials management, or distribution resource planning, preferably in food processing/packaging.
  • Proficient in the use of office technologies and demonstrated ability to deliver high-level, responsive customer service in a business environment.
  • Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
