The Manager, Supply Chain Planning at Valent BioSciences LLC is a pivotal role responsible for aligning the end-to-end supply chain to balance customer service and cost in accordance with the company's strategic objectives. This position will lead the master production schedule (MPS) strategy, which includes a 24-month horizon for the master production plan (MPR) projection, stock policies by SKU, and the MPS tool. The role is crucial for measuring adherence to our execution and operations against the plan through key performance indicators (KPIs). The manager will also oversee relationships with manufacturing facilities and tollers to ensure operational excellence within the supply chain. Additionally, this role will manage supply chain performance, capability, flexibility, resources, supply financials, and alternative supply scenarios. The individual will be responsible for driving results in supply chain planning and will directly manage the people and processes necessary to achieve these goals and objectives. In this role, the manager will be accountable for ensuring that all operations are successfully planned and executed to meet customer expectations. This includes optimizing inventory strategies across the supply chain network to ensure supply while minimizing costs, managing supplier production, and maintaining appropriate production planning and inventory levels. The manager will also coordinate communication strategies across the supply chain network, ensuring the quality and timeliness of inputs, outputs, and deliverables. Identifying potential constraints and creating contingency plans to mitigate risks will be essential. The manager will develop and achieve a supply chain adherence plan among the supply network and ensure operational excellence through thought leadership and continuous improvement initiatives. The position requires leading supply chain planning discussions through integrated Sales and Operations Execution (S&OE) for short-term planning, preparing inputs for complex supply chain capacity planning as part of the monthly Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and S&OP processes, and maintaining strong collaborative relationships with customers and internal teams. The manager will also be responsible for setting and managing expectations with both internal and external customers, navigating high-pressure interactions effectively. Furthermore, the role involves managing capacity planning information, reviewing material availability, and addressing financial issues arising from production, as well as opportunities related to new product introductions and product obsolescence. The manager will implement and lead the Rough Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) process and drive improvements in product availability reports while fostering collaboration with cross-functional teams and developing talent to create high-performing teams in a positive work environment.
