About the position

The Supply Chain - Procurement Engineering Manager at Lockheed Martin is responsible for leading a team of Technical Sub-Contract Managers (TSMs) to ensure the timely delivery of quality parts in support of all Lockheed Martin Aeronautics programs. This role involves managing supplier engagements, coordinating with various teams, and implementing best practices to enhance supply chain performance. The position requires significant travel and focuses on developing TSMs while addressing technical and schedule disruptions in the supply chain.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a virtual team of Technical Sub-Contract Managers (TSMs) and local TSMs.
  • Lead, develop, and mature TSMs to ensure timely delivery of quality parts.
  • Pursue best practices at designated supplier locations.
  • Coordinate with Supplier Quality initiatives and execute proactive problem-solving techniques.
  • Devise and execute strategies to minimize technical or schedule disruptions.
  • Analyze employee task load and make assignments in a fast-paced environment.
  • Provide core supervisory responsibilities including training, performance appraisals, and disciplinary actions.
  • Coordinate communications regarding external supply chain performance with senior leadership.
  • Support program management reviews and develop on-site surveillance plans for critical suppliers.
  • Communicate SCM organizational goals and vision to enhance supplier performance.
  • Develop predictive metrics to monitor and measure performance with engaged suppliers.

Requirements

  • Experience working with supplier engagements and familiarity with Aircraft Manufacturing and the Procurement Process.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Experienced leader, coach, and/or mentor.
  • Experience interfacing with Manufacturing & Supplier Quality, Production Control, Supply Chain, and Program Leadership.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior Technical Subcontract Management experience.
  • Experience working with Systems, Applications, and Processes (SAP), Product Data Management (PDM), and SharePoint.
  • Familiarity with Military Aircraft Assembly and Sustainment Manufacturing.
  • Design and tooling experience.
  • Experience in large scale procurement, especially Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR), and Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA).
  • Advanced Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft Project, and database retrieval/manipulation experience.
