About the position

The Supply Chain Product Manager at Amazon Data Services, Inc. is responsible for developing foundational data for spares supply chain and driving the development of automated tools to support AWS growth. This role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure accurate spare part attributes, managing product life cycles, and advocating for best practices in spares product lifecycle management. The position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to handle multiple projects in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Supply Chain, Engineering, commodity managers, and Vendors to structure spare part attributes for new products and document product changes.
  • Build relationships with internal customers, partners, and suppliers to capture Master Data for spares throughout the lifecycle.
  • Drive timely part setup and BOM changes to support new product introduction and sustaining business.
  • Advocate for Spares Product Lifecycle Management best practices and processes.
  • Provide input on schedule, issues, and deliverables related to spares data management.
  • Participate in continuous process improvements focused on systems, reporting, and data analysis efficiencies.
  • Hold partner teams accountable for providing timely and accurate information for Master Data.
  • Produce written recommendations and insights to help shape solutions and mechanisms.
  • Handle multiple projects and adapt to rapidly-changing priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Transportation, Logistics, or related field.
  • 4+ years' experience in program management, logistics, operations, supply chain, or transportation.
  • 2+ years' experience in Master Data Management.
  • Experience owning the design, implementation, and optimization of initiatives.
  • 2+ years of experience using Microsoft Excel advanced features and analytical tools such as SQL, Tableau, or Microsoft Access.

  • Experience in Technology or engineering environments.
  • Demonstrated ability working in an ambiguous environment.
  • Experience handling changing priorities and using good judgment in stressful situations.
  • Demonstrated understanding of BOM hierarchy, including hardware and software components.
  • Knowledge of product lifecycle management applications such as Agile or comparable PLM tools.
  • Team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
