The Program Director Clinical Service Line will be responsible for the management and development of the service line clinical utilization program and service line while providing support for the implementation of service line projects identified by the internal Supply Chain team, Clinical Leadership, or the Group Purchasing Organization (GPO). This position requires a self-sufficient individual who can interpret facility needs, manage projects from inception to completion, translate objectives, execute outcomes, and present project deliverables to both line staff and executive staff. The role involves serving as a subject matter expert to all CHRISTUS Health facilities and staff, including C-Suite and physicians, ensuring that the clinical utilization program aligns with the organization's mission, vision, and values. The Program Director will establish, track, and monitor the service line’s annual performance objectives, both qualitative and quantitative, and report these on a regular basis to the Team and System Director. This includes developing, maintaining, and updating the service line projects on an annual project/work plan. The director will also provide leadership and serve as a clinical expert to the System Value Analysis Teams and all CHRISTUS Health facilities for the service line, identifying opportunities for custom contracts to fill gaps and increase contract coverage for the CHRISTUS Health System. In addition, the Program Director will assess and quantify clinical utilization opportunities available to CHRISTUS Health, present project rationale, timeline, and opportunity impact for approval, and manage, track, and regularly report on the status of service line projects. The role requires collaboration with team members to develop overall clinical utilization strategies and effective implementation plans, setting and achieving savings targets for the service line while interfacing with various levels of management and external contacts to develop solutions. The director will utilize research, data analysis, and modeling to support project implementation and development of project plans, using evidence-based practice to assist system and facilities with value analysis committees. The position also involves evaluating new products in the facilities, coordinating with implementation teams and suppliers, and cultivating relationships within the facilities.
