Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Supply Chain Program Manager 2 to join our team in Roy, UT. This person will report directly to the Global Supply Chain (GSC) Division Planning Manager. This person will manage a team of 13 planners and 1 Manager in performing the day-to-day execution of the GSC Planning role for the Sentinel program. This manager will help lead the planning teams to achieve execution of program material requirements throughout the material lifecycle from initial inception to delivery. In this role, you will define and review processes where gaps or improvement opportunities may exist by coordinating cross-functionally both within and outside of GSC. You will track the performance of responsible planning teams' forecasts to meet program and company financial goals. You will lead the planning team in the execution of material requirements and be responsible for resource planning, schedule performance, and supply chain issue resolution. Additionally, you will drive a culture of cross collaboration within the planners both with teams inside GSC and outside GSC, ensuring that the planning team understands the program's priorities and execution strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of 13 planners and 1 Manager in the execution of the GSC Planning role for the Sentinel program.
  • Define and review processes to identify gaps or improvement opportunities by coordinating cross-functionally within and outside of GSC.
  • Track performance of planning teams' forecasts to meet program and company financial goals.
  • Lead planning team in execution of material requirements, responsible for resource planning, schedule performance, and supply chain issue resolution.
  • Drive a culture of cross collaboration within the planners and with teams inside and outside GSC.
  • Coordinate closely with the GSC Program Manager organization to ensure understanding of program priorities and execution strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of relevant experience in supply chain, or business/project management, or 10+ years of relevant experience in supply chain or business/project management in lieu of a degree.
  • At least one year of experience leading projects or cross-functional teams.
  • At least one year of experience with planning and scheduling.
  • At least one year of experience working in the defense industry.
  • Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Security Clearance of Secret or higher.

Nice-to-haves

  • Able to effectively drive GSC execution across multiple organizations with differing priorities.
  • Understanding of specifications, drawings & supplier statements of work (SOWs).
  • Knowledge of GSC processes including planning, MRP, procurement, goods receipt, etc.
  • Experience in supporting government proposal efforts including bills of material and labor bases of estimates.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop successful internal and external relationships.
  • Proficiency in the use of SAP.
  • Ability to create and maintain trusted relationships with internal and external customers.
