Job Description: The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) is seekinga Supply Chain Program Specialist to assist with program outreachand provide support to Virginia businesses wishing to optimizetheir supply chain management processes through Virginias SupplyChain Optimization Program (SCOP). The Supply Chain ProgramSpecialist will report to and support the Senior Supply ChainProgram Manager. helps Virginia businesses evaluate and strengthentheir supply chain processes for inputs and components used infuture exporting initiatives. Companies that participate in theprogram can receive reimbursement for supply chain-related expensesas well as training from supply chain experts.This position is partof VEDPs International Trade division, which is recognized as theleading state international trade development program in the U.S.VEDPs International Trade division provides a range of resourcessuch as customized market research, international businessmeetings, and grant programs to assist Virginia businesses withgrowing their international sales.Responsibilities: Plan educational and networking events for businessesparticipating in the Supply Chain Optimization Program byidentifying trends in supply chain optimization, proposing relevantcontent, identifying speakers, and coordinating event details withcolleagues Create and update materials for events, such as handouts andpresentations, based on marketing guidelines Review and approve requests for reimbursement from businesseswhile following program guidelines Support the program recruitment process by coordinating apipeline of target companies and checking the eligibility ofapplicants, and proactively identifying potential participants Develop program outreach opportunities such as emails andsocial media posts to keep the program community informed aboutrelevant topics and upcoming events Help maintain and leverage data in Salesforce by creatingreports and updating program data as requested Update and maintain accurate program documents includingapplication forms, reimbursement forms, and program guidelines Contribute and implement ideas to support the growth of theprogram Coordinate research projects with the VEDP research team andprogram participants Track the progress of research projects and provide regularupdates on project status Assist Senior Program Manager in counseling Virginia businessesduring meetings to understand their needs, current supply chaininitiatives, and progress in the programSkills: Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail tomaintain a high level of accuracy when reviewing requests frombusinesses and colleagues Superior skills in building relationships with team members andbusinesses with the ability to provide efficient, friendly, andthorough support Demonstrated ability to proactively manage multiple prioritiesand deadlines Comfortable using technology such as Salesforce to track andprioritize requests Strong communication skills (verbal and written) anddemonstrated ability to be responsive, helpful, courteous, andprofessional when working with colleagues and businesses Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, andPowerPoint Experience: Professional experience with supply chain management, eventplanning, marketing, communications, business administration, orinternational affairs Experience applying guidelines and procedures when working onprojects, whether in an academic or professional setting Awareness of foreign cultures or international businesspractices is preferredThis position is based in VEDPs office inRichmond, Virginia three days each week and has the option totelework two days each week according to VEDPs hybrid work policy.This position requires occasional in-state and internationaltravel.Being authorized to work in the U.S. is a precondition ofemployment.
