About the position

The Supply Chain Quality Assurance Intern at Foot Locker is a full-time internship role based in Junction City, KS, focused on supporting the Quality Assurance and Inventory Control teams. The intern will gain hands-on experience in quality management systems, compliance, and continuous improvement processes while working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in conducting inspections and audits of products, processes, and materials to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Support the creation, implementation, and maintenance of quality procedures, guidelines, and documentation.
  • Perform data collection and analysis related to product defects, trends, and improvement opportunities.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for non-conforming products or processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain to resolve quality issues.
  • Support the preparation of reports, summaries, and presentations for internal stakeholders.
  • Assist in the development and improvement of quality control processes and testing methods.
  • Participate in quality improvement projects and initiatives aimed at increasing product reliability and reducing waste.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate or graduate business student pursuing a degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 3.2 GPA or higher.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in testing and data collection.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach to learning and tasks.
  • Basic understanding of quality tools and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO standards, SPC) is a plus.
  • Effective communication skills for all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Willingness to learn with hands-on experience.
