The Supply Chain Risk Management team is tasked with developing and executing strategies to ensure supply continuity and mitigate risks based on various indicators provided by cross-functional teams, including Finance, Quality, and PC&L. We are seeking a talented Supply Chain Risk Manager who possesses strong operations, supplier quality, and purchasing skills to join our SCRM team. This individual will be responsible for managing a risk monitoring database and providing insights and action plans regarding top risk suppliers to the US Division. Additionally, the role involves working on-site with these suppliers to implement corrective and preventive actions. In this role, the Supply Chain Risk Manager will own supplier risk databases for US operations teams and will be responsible for developing and sharing insights with Global Supply Management and Operations teams located in Saginaw. The manager will conduct comprehensive supply risk assessments for suppliers, evaluating a range of holistic risk indicators, including strategic, financial, geopolitical, capacity, supply and logistics, cybersecurity, and compliance. They will assess supplier risks in light of emerging regulatory requirements, identify strategies and recommendations, and integrate solutions into relevant business processes. The Supply Chain Risk Manager will also support the development and execution of risk mitigation plans that align with short-term, annual, and long-term growth projections in collaboration with purchasing managers. They will create risk alerts based on the severity of identified risks and act promptly to mitigate these risks. Furthermore, the manager will assist commodity and plant teams in formulating continuity plans for high-risk suppliers and contribute to the overall risk management strategy for procurement, embedding these strategies into base business practices. The role requires developing visibility of risks associated with tier 2/3 suppliers for key material categories and incorporating these findings into sourcing strategies. The Supply Chain Risk Manager will work collaboratively to establish predictive risk management practices and deploy them within the procurement scope. They will also collaborate with GSM managers to integrate risk management solutions into sourcing strategies, supplier relationship management, and contracting activities, while supporting the business planning process to incorporate risk management projects and necessary resources, including the adoption of digital tools.
