About the position

The Supply Chain Solutions Director at Intermountain Health is responsible for leading a team to provide strategic value to assigned customers by managing supplier relationships and coordinating complex decision-making processes. This role involves working with internal stakeholders to establish goals that deliver savings and efficiencies, overseeing supply chain aspects for specific business service lines, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. The director will also guide stakeholders in understanding policies and procedures while managing a team of sourcing professionals.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier relationships and coordinate decision-making processes for assigned customers.
• Work with internal stakeholders to establish strategic goals for savings and efficiencies.
• Oversee sourcing, contracting, and procure-to-pay processes within the assigned portfolio.
• Direct efforts between key stakeholders and various Supply Chain teams to develop multi-year business plans.
• Serve as the primary executive contact with suppliers, monitoring and managing supplier performance.
• Provide industry insights and marketplace understanding to stakeholders and senior leadership.
• Lead implementation, project planning, and communications for Supply Chain initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and contracts for assigned service lines.

Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited institution.
• Seven years of experience in supply chain sourcing and/or supplier management with a strategic focus.
• Five years of direct experience in strategic sourcing and/or category management.
• Experience with word processing, spreadsheet, database, internet, and email applications.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree in business or supply chain management.
• Five years of direct experience in strategic sourcing and/or category management within the healthcare industry.
