About the position
The Supply Chain Solutions Intern position at Americold is a 12-week, full-time, paid internship designed for students pursuing degrees in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or related fields. Interns will gain hands-on experience in the supply chain industry, working on various projects that enhance their understanding of supply chain design and transportation optimization. This role emphasizes personal and professional growth while contributing to meaningful projects within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Work with Sr Analyst and Manager within the supply chain solutions team on target projects in supply chain design and transportation optimization.
- Perform various tasks while learning about different business functions, network optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Use advanced data mining, analysis, and visualization skills to gain insights that will uncover business opportunities and guide strategic decisions.
- Provide analytical support in developing transportation solutions for customers interested in Americold's transportation program.
- Support the design/build of technical processes to address business issues in transportation.
- Assist in the development of business cases for internal initiatives and design activities related to client proposals.
- Support the development and maintenance of network modeling analytical tools.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled at an accredited college/university for an undergraduate or graduate degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or related discipline.
- Coursework/projects in supply chain network design, transportation optimization, and inventory management.
- Projects/experience with supply chain related data analytics.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Power BI/Tableau, and SQL.
- Knowledge of CPLEX and Coupa Supply Chain.
