About the position

The Supply Chain Specialist at Solaris Pharma is responsible for supporting launch planning and commercial sourcing activities, ensuring that inventory levels are maintained, and managing the supply chain effectively to prevent delays in product shipment. This role involves communication with manufacturing sites and vendors, inventory management, and assisting in procurement processes to optimize costs and ensure compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Support launch planning and commercial sourcing activities including API, Excipients, lab supplies, and components.
  • Communicate product forecasts consistently with manufacturing sites and vendors to ensure sufficient inventory.
  • Manage supplies of long lead items to prevent delays in product shipment.
  • Alert management on potential supply chain issues and execute tasks to resolve them.
  • Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all supplies and associated lead times for delivery.
  • Assist in the release and shipment of finished products to the 3PL warehouse facility.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce supply chain costs.
  • Review purchase requisitions for completeness and compliance with policies.
  • Assist with analyzing proposals and quotations for goods and services.
  • Generate Purchase Orders (POs) and communicate them to vendors.
  • Manage shipment, pick-up, and delivery of items, including customs clearance documentation.
  • Work with requisitioners to ensure accurate updates to POs.
  • Generate inventory reports for executive management.
  • Resolve inquiries and escalate concerns as needed.
  • Support finance group related to POs and reconciliations.
  • Learn new tasks and processes to support organizational growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field such as Chemistry or Life Sciences preferred.
  • 0-2 years of relevant procurement/supply chain experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills to communicate at all levels.
  • Ability to influence, negotiate, and resolve conflicts.
  • Self-starter capable of leading multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent oral and written presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project Management.
