About the position
The Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for deploying and maintaining Lean Material Flow strategies within the plant and supporting warehouse operations. This role involves establishing standard work instructions for team members, managing supply chain layouts, analyzing data for upcoming product jobs, and defining delivery methods based on forecasts. The specialist will also support the Material Handling and Receiving team to ensure efficient operations.
Responsibilities
- Deploy and maintain Lean Material Flow strategies at the plant and supporting warehouse.
- Establish and maintain standard work instructions for plant-specific materials team members.
- Own layouts for supply chain managed footprints.
- Analyze data for upcoming product jobs.
- Set up new parts on warehouse and line-side production.
- Define delivery methods based on forecast.
- Support Material Handling and Receiving team.
Requirements
- Experience in supply chain management or related field.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Ability to establish and maintain standard work instructions.
- Familiarity with Lean Material Flow strategies.
- Experience with warehouse operations and layout management.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of software engineering solutions in supply chain context.
- Experience working with Fortune 500 companies.
