About the position

The Supply Chain Specialist at MilliporeSigma plays a vital role in optimizing supply chain processes and ensuring efficient inventory management. This position involves collaborating with various departments to support global service levels and improve operational excellence. The ideal candidate will utilize their expertise in supply chain management to analyze data, manage inventory, and lead cross-functional meetings.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee supply chain operations, ensuring timely delivery of products and services.
• Utilize SAP and Oracle EBS systems for effective inventory control and tracking.
• Analyze supply chain data to identify areas for process improvement and implement lean methodologies.
• Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate contracts and maintain strong relationships.
• Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and forecast demand to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
• Develop and maintain reports on supply chain performance metrics for management review.
• Coordinate with production, logistics, and sales teams to align supply chain strategies with business goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 3+ years' experience in planning, production, inventory, and/or purchasing, OR Associate degree with 5+ years' experience in planning, inventory, purchasing experience and/or other supply chain positions.
• 3+ years of experience with SAP ERP/APO systems.

Nice-to-haves

• 2+ years creating and maintaining database.
• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, or Supply Chain Management.
• ASCM/APICS certification.
• Six sigma Green Belt or higher.
• Demonstration of process improvements/project management.
• Able to combine and analyze data sets in Excel using multiple formula types including a combination of vlookup, xlookup, concatenate, IF statements and ability to create pivot tables.
• Ability to effectively present and communicate at multiple levels of the organization.
• Self-starter with ability to lead projects.
