About the position

The Supply Chain Specialist at ACS is responsible for overseeing logistics and distribution across various branches, ensuring smooth delivery of products to customers. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong problem-solving skills, who can manage a network of suppliers and distributors effectively. The specialist will utilize supply chain tools to optimize transportation and inventory maintenance while fostering communication and innovation within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the branch's supply chain strategy.
  • Evaluate and report on KPIs.
  • Plan and coordinate activities related to sourcing and procurement of goods.
  • Develop and manage a qualified supplier list; compare and evaluate offers from various suppliers.
  • Purchase goods and enter order details (e.g., suppliers, quantities, prices) into CDK.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers with support from the supply chain manager.
  • Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses.
  • Optimize inventory by maintaining inventory levels (MOQ, Min/Max, etc.), monitor and adjust as needed.
  • Organize and manage the receipt, storage, and distribution of warehoused goods.
  • Track orders and ensure timely receipts.
  • Review the quality of purchased products.
  • Train and coach department supervisors as needed (Purchasing, Receiving, Planning, Inventory Management and Shipping).
  • Collaborate with all branches/locations to create coordinated plans for business growth.
  • Implement safety guidelines in supply chain areas (e.g., use of trucks, forklifts, etc.).
  • Ensure all supply chain processes meet legal requirements and standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a relevant field.
  • 3-5 years working in Supply Chain, Warehousing, and Purchasing roles.
  • Certifications: Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) program.
  • Hands-on experience with supply chain software/functionality.
  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company's success.
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and function with multiple locations remotely.
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating, and liaising with vendors).
  • Understanding of supply chain procedures.
  • Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses.
