About the position

The Supply Chain Specialist plays a crucial role in managing and optimizing supply chain operations within the company. This position involves processing customer orders, managing inventory levels, and creating logistics plans to ensure timely delivery of products. The specialist will work closely with various stakeholders, including customers, warehouses, and vendors, to maintain efficient supply chain processes and meet customer demands effectively.

Responsibilities

• Process customer orders received via EDI, email, or in person.
• Manage inventory levels and analyze data to meet customer demands.
• Create and implement logistics plans for product purchasing.
• Prepare shipping documents and data entries into Phreebooks.
• Coordinate with warehouses to release required parts on due dates.
• Create purchase orders for prototypes and service parts.
• Negotiate with customers on order quantities and delivery schedules.
• Update inventory matrix and reconcile inventory reports.
• Communicate with EDI and ERP system providers to improve systems.
• Monitor inbound shipments and manage prototype inventory.

Requirements

• Proficient in English and Japanese, with native or native-like proficiency preferred.
• Experience with EDI systems and inventory management.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and quality control systems.
• Strong analytical and math skills for data analysis and order planning.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the automobile parts logistics industry.
• Familiarity with USMCA and Mexico logistics regulations.
• Ability to create standard operating procedures (SOP).
